Jacob Turner, Hill Top Times Staff Reporter

This is Jacob's first year on staff of Hill Top Times and Rock Hill Media. Jacob is currently a Sophomore at Rock Hill. He is also part of the Rock Hill Blue Hawk Band and plays the clarinet for both marching season & concert season. His favorite thing being on staff of Hill Top Times is being able to report coverage on what's happening at Rock Hill. During the time outside of school, Jacob loves to do photography for fun and hanging out with friends.

The show started off with a bang with orchestra, choir and Rockettes coming together for the performance. The Rockettes came out dancing to, Amid the Winters Snow by John Goss. Rockette Faith Cardell said, It was a great experience collaborating with other fine arts groups and being able to showcase our talents all together [and] we are so lucky to have such great opportunities here at Rock Hill.

While dancing to hit songs from 2021 and talking to his friends, freshman Cohen Terry said, the fact that I knew everyone there, was his favorite part of the band homecoming.

The Spanish Honor Society decorated the school for Hispanic heritage month, which included translating the core values into Spanish. The core values of Rock Hill High School are integrity, creativity, service, excellence, empathy and unity. We placed it there so that students and staff coming in could see it perfectly and constantly be reminded of the heritage month. SHS officer Maria Duron-Garcia said.
