Ready to take on this year’s competition, school mascot Rocky stands with strong arms.
To start off the season, Rock Hill announced most of the school’s sports that will be playing this fall. The traditional Meet the Blue Hawks event was held at the PISD’s Children’s Health Stadium, Saturday, Aug. 19. Students and parents started making their way to find seating, while the ceremony started at 7 p.m.
The athletic teams who were presented at Meet the Blue Hawks were football, cross country, tennis, aquatics, volleyball, cheer, and the Rockettes. Followed by the sports medicine team, and this year’s new yell leaders.
Seniors who participated in a specific sport were announced by their name as well as students who earned awards or scholarships in the past year once their sport was called.
